Important Things You Should Know About Hotel Restaurant Design

By Leslie Ball

There are several factors to consider when you want to design a restaurant. The success of your hotel will depend on customer care and comfort. A comfortable lounge must be spacious enough in order to provide adequate seating facilities to your customers. You need a competent architect in every step of the hotel restaurant design.

You need to evaluate your costs before you start the design process. Even if you do not have the money at hand, think of a 20-year business plan in order to make the necessary funding arrangements. You should have the necessary blueprints in order to plan for future expansions. You should concentrate on the areas that generate income. If you have a catchy entrance, you will draw many people into your hotel. The customers love to sit in comfortable lobbies that are airy and spacious enough. You will not have a second chance to make the first impression and designing an attractive entrance lobby will determine your success.

Your customers need enough space in the dining room in order to enjoy their meals. The functionality of this area will improve if they can listen to cool music or watch different television channels. Be sure to leave enough space between the tables.

The cleanliness of your restaurant will be the difference between success and failure. Most restaurants spend a fortune on detergents and if you want to reduce your costs, you need to invest in user-friendly finishes that do not compromise the aesthetics. If you have a tight budget, you need an affordable paving material that is easy to clean. The good news is that tiles come in various sizes and textures and if you choose the colors that complement each other, you will achieve remarkable results.

You need to separate the bar from the rest of the restaurant. If you do so, you will serve all types of people conveniently. It is important to provide as much counter space as possible in the alcohol zone in order to avoid breaking your favorite glasses. Ensure that the bar is well-lit and if possible, incorporate a suspended ceiling in your design.

You need to invest in a modern kitchen. Whereas the customers will not go to the kitchen, if you provide the necessary equipment, you will cook your meals more conveniently. A well planned kitchen has enough food preparation facilities, adequate washing areas as well as reliable cookers. If you install a hood over your cooking range, you will allow the smoke to escape and as a result, the kitchen will smell clean and fresh.

A restaurant requires adequate storage space for it to run smoothly. You should design your stores according to your specific requirements. If you prefer to order meat in advance, you should build a cold store in order to keep the perishable goods fresh all the time. You should also buy a reliable standby generator to keep the cold store running in case of a power outage.

Decide whether you want to provide accommodation facilities. Such facilities must have privacy in order to function well. The lodges should have a specific gate in order to give the residents the privacy they require. One way of improving privacy is to provide additional parking facilities in order to give your customers the comfort they deserve. You must design a nice garden that will provide outdoor recreational facilities to all the customers.
